Job #4950 – Join the management team of this mission driven Non-profit organization as the new Head of Finance, Policies, Procedures and Budgeting on a full-time, permanent basis! Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for assisting with complex budget development while designing and implementing policies and procedures related to overall finance and procurement. This is an exciting and newly created role which will allow the selected incumbent to think outside the box and take full ownership of the position while working closely alongside an experienced CFO. Main responsibilities include:
- Assist with the compilation and maintenance of the budget, as well as forecasting models
- Ensure accuracy and data integrity to facilitate financial decision-making
- Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders on finance matters to implement cost-saving measures
- Develop and oversee appropriate internal controls for finance and procurement
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff regarding finance policies and procedures
- Ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- A completed CPA designation is required
- In-depth experience with budget management is required
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in designing, implementing and monitoring financial policies, procedures and internal controls
- Bilingual (French and English) is 100% mandatory
- Experience with ERP system implementations is an asset
- Public sector Accounting Standards is an asset
- Proficient in Excel
