Our well-known and respected client is seeking a confident and proactive Manager, Corporate Financing, to lead core treasury and financing operations, including debt, cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange, and corporate insurance. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical leader who communicates clearly, demonstrates integrity, and leads by example. You must have a deep understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and associated regulatory processes to succeed in this role! The main responsibilities include: 

  • Manage a diversified debt portfolio and lead the execution of corporate and project financing
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity to support business operations and credit ratings
  • Manage a portfolio of insurance policies to adequately mitigate risk exposure
  • Monitor credit metrics and engage with rating agencies to maintain a strong credit profile
  • Assess foreign exchange exposure and execute risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead the management of corporate insurance programs and ensure efficient claims handling
  • Support M&A initiatives by evaluating financing structures and preparing financial models
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and regulatory filings

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting or a related field
  • Professional designation required (CPA, CFA or CTP)
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in finance or treasury roles
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with a strong grasp of business operations, priorities, and financial cycles

Assets:
 

  • Bilingual – English/French
  • Experience with managing insurance programs
  • Experience leading unionized staff
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Experience in the utilities or energy industry

Compensation:

  • $115,000 – $130,000 salary range
