Reporting to the Director of Finance, the selected incumbent will be responsible for external and internal financial reporting and analysis, which includes leading the preparation of consolidated financial statements and the internal reporting packages. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting experience and can analyze complex issues and provide appropriate recommendations. Main responsibilities include:

• Responsible for external and internal financial reporting and analysis
• Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related note disclosures in accordance with IFRS
• Review all reporting information and company account reconciliations
• Review the various consolidations and ensure accuracy of adjustments
• Identify issues proactively and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and reporting processes
• Assist with external audits
• Provide leadership and direct a team in a fast-paced work environment

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Completed CPA designation required
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive technical accounting experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous supervisory experience
• Good understanding of ASPE and IFRS reporting requirements
• Strong Excel skills
