Job #4477 – Are you a Payroll Manager looking to make a move? We are currently assisting our busy client with a payroll manager position, located in Gatineau. Leading a team of 5, you will have at least three years of management experience and be well-experienced in both Canadian and US Payroll. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, the main responsibilities include:

• Manage a payroll team that is responsible for processing and distributing payroll for 1200+ employees in Canada and the U.S
• Provide leadership and training for the payroll team
• Maintain timely compliance for payroll, legal and tax reporting filings
• Ensure payroll configurations are updated and compliant with all requirements
• Respond to requests and act as liaison with vendors to address and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Continuously review and improve processes and procedures
• Other duties as required

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a Payroll Certification is an asset
• At least 6+ years of Canadian and U.S payroll experience for union and non-union employees
• 3+ years’ experience in a management role
• Excellent English communication skills, written & verbal
