Job #4324 – Terrific opportunity to join a highly regarded international non-profit organization as their Senior Finance Officer, Budgeting & Compliance on a full-time, permanent basis! In this role, your main responsibilities will be related to assisting the budgeting and compliance team with the corporate budget process, donor grant proposal budgets, implementation of grant awards and donor financial compliance. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Setting up donor grant and program budgets
  • Establishing the budget review process, identify budget variances, and providing financial analysis
  • Reviewing quarterly forecasts and variance reports to ensure accurateness
  • Liaising with other staff and offices to resolve any operational budgeting and contractual issues
  • Improving standard budgeting and proposal templates and the development of standard costs by country or region
  • Monitoring agreements to ensure compliance with financial policies/regulations
  • Working with other departments to provide input and analysis on financial considerations and components
  • Assisting with special ad hoc projects when requested

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience working with international development funding agency rules, regulations, and contracting structures
  • Good understanding of ASNPO
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel – good analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
