Job #5029 – Our client, a well-established and highly regarded independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and strengthening Canada’s healthcare system through reliable data and actionable insights, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a full-time contract. In this role, the Finance Business Partner will serve as a key strategic advisor, supporting quarterly forecasting, mid-year and year-end reviews, and the annual budgeting process. Working closely with operational leaders and cross-functional teams, you will communicate with stakeholders to provide meaningful financial analysis, planning, and reporting to support sound business decisions and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder and communicator who can confidently translate complex financial data into clear, practical insights for a variety of stakeholders. You bring a strategic mindset with the ability to assess both immediate and long-term financial implications, and you thrive in collaborative environments where partnership, trust, and proactive problem-solving are highly valued. Reporting to a Senior Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities include:
- Partnering with program leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making
- Explaining financial information clearly and acting as a trusted finance contact for questions and guidance
- Supporting managers through budget, quarterly, and year-end review cycles, highlighting key risks and opportunities
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, projections, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy
- Providing financial analysis to support business cases, funding requests, and long-term planning
- Assisting with organization-wide financial reporting and variance analysis
- Helping track program and project costs and improve financial processes and systems

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- CPA designation required (complete or in the process)
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills required, pivot tables, Power Pivot, and queries
Considered assets:
- Not-for-profit experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- Project accounting experience
- Bilingualism in both English and French
