Finance Director
Job #4653 – One of Ottawa’s most well-established and reputable high-tech companies is continuing to experience impressive growth and is now looking for a Finance Director to join their leadership team! Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting requirements, in addition to driving the strategic financial planning and analysis for the organization. This is an exciting role that requires a versatile skillset, a strong business acumen, and good leadership skills. Main responsibilities include:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for various stakeholders including CEO, board members and investors
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation and ensure financial strategies align with long term goals
- Lead the development and provision of commentary and analysis of financial management information such as P&L, cash forecasts, and other KPI’s
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring their continuous development
- Oversee all aspects of financial governance ensuring they align with company policies
- Mitigate financial risks by implementing appropriate controls and strategies
- Oversee treasury and cash management functions to optimize liquidity and capital efficiency
- Foster and maintain key partnerships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors to ensure smooth financial operations
Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Completed CPA designation required
- Previous experience operating at a senior finance level with a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations
- High level of business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous high-tech or professional services experience considered an asset
What’s the Bottom Line:
- $140,000 – $175,000 salary range
