Job #5095 – We’re partnering with a fast-paced SaaS organization to recruit a polished and energetic General Accountant. Responsible for coordinating intercompany transactions and managing invoicing activities between sister companies, you will also oversee payroll administration for employees across the US, Canada, and other international entities. As a key backup resource for Accounts Payable, you will support the processing and payment of vendor invoices, as well as investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues that arise. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, highly organized professional who brings a genuine commitment to excellence and takes pride in doing things exceptionally well. Someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and ambitious, with a strong sense of ownership and a natural drive to deliver high-quality results.
Main responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including processing transactions, invoices, payments and customer accounts
- Prepare account reconciliations and support the monthly financial close process
- Manage payroll-related accounting and ensure payroll information is accurately recorded
- Handle invoices and transactions between related companies within the organization
- Support accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, responding to vendor questions and resolving discrepancies
- Review and process employee expenses and purchase orders
- Maintain accurate financial records, including fixed assets and prepaid expenses
- Ensure accounting records and documentation are complete, accurate and up to date
- Assist with reporting, process improvement and other account projects as needed

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, journal entries, account reconciliations, and chart of accounts
- Strong written and oral communication skills along with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel
