Job #4646 – Rare opportunity to join a well-respected crown corporation on a full-time, permanent basis as their Team Leader, Contract Financials! You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and providing ongoing support to the Manager, Contract Financials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and will be able to make recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve processes. The selected incumbent will also lead a mid-sized team with the support of the Accounting Manager. Additional duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and provide analysis
• Audit progress claim payments
• Resolve payment problems and provide customized solutions for partners and clients
• Ensure quality standards are met, manage associated risks, and implement continuous process improvements
• Lead and review the contract financial team’s work to ensure accuracy
• Validate monthly integrity reports and develop and implement key performance indicators
• Provide financial system guidance and training and participate in policy development and process improvements

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Completed CPA designation considered an assert
• Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting required
• Minimum 4-5 years of progressive work experience   
• Demonstrated business acumen and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written
• Proficient in Excel
