Job #5082 – Join a cutting-edge communications and media software company as their next Group Controller in this high-impact, permanent role! As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will provide strategic and technical financial leadership across the organization, driving financial reporting, compliance, audit, forecasting, process improvement, and acquisition integration. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable working with different accounting teams, building relationships, and adapting to changing priorities. A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a practical, solutions-focused approach will be important to your success! Reporting to the Group Operations CFO, key responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical accounting leadership and guidance, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group policies while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Lead the month-end close and financial reporting cycle, including reconciliations, analysis and submissions in line with group requirements
  • Support M&A activity and the integration of new acquisitions, working across business units to align processes with group best practices
  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and financial controls, including accurate financial records and the use of technology to improve processes
  • Oversee statutory and tax filings across all entities, working closely with the Tax Group and external advisors
  • Coach and support finance teams on financial reporting standards, while overseeing working capital, budgeting, and forecasting activities

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Formal accounting education
  • CPA (CA), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting designation required
  • 5+ years of progressive technical accounting experience with IFRS
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems; NetSuite is an asset

Compensation:

  • $165k – $175k salary range
