Job #4827 – Turn the page on winter and spring into a new Financial Controllership role by joining this well-established, family-owned business on a full-time basis! Reporting to the General Manager, the Financial Controller will be given complete ownership of the finance department and the day-to-day accounting operations. The selected incumbent will be responsible for managing a small team while ensuring accurate financial results and monthly financial statements are produced on time. This is an exciting and interactive role that will allow you to work closely alongside operations and have a true impact on business decision-making. Main responsibilities include:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
- Produce monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist in the annual forecasting process
- Review monthly schedules and complete monthly tax remittances
- Collaborate with department heads to implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure effective and efficient internal controls are in place
- Provide support to all operating departments within the organization
- Ad hoc projects when required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Completed CPA designation or in progress is preferred
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting required
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of ASPE
- Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Proficient in Excel
