Job #4855 – Our client, a respected non-profit organization dedicated to positively impacting the community, is seeking a bright, collaborative, and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is a quick learner, works well independently, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. In this role, you will utilize your full-cycle accounting experience and strong analytical skills to manage shifting priorities. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, proficient in Excel, and a critical thinker with a solid accounting foundation. The main responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Match revenue with donations
- Prepare payments for EFT/wire/cheques/credit card requisitions
- Manage and process cash deposits
- Perform banking entries and communicate with the bank representatives on any issues
- Process employee reimbursements
- Reconcile bank and credit cards
- Provide financial support and other duties as required

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Formal Accounting Education
- Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Excellent English communication, written & verbal
Definite Assets (nice to have):
- Experience with non-profit accounting standards
- Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge software programs
