They are seeking a professional, detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven Finance Manager with a collaborative, no-ego approach to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Finance Manager will be a key contributor to the firm’s financial stability and strategic objectives, working closely with the CFO, partners, and leadership team to oversee daily financial operations, accounting functions, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional services environment, strong leadership skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach to financial management. Key responsibilities are:
- Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and trust accounting.
- Prepare financial statements and reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide actionable insights to partners and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls, while leading and mentoring a finance team.
- Partner with the CFO on cash flow, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen financial systems

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting management role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Assets:
- CPA designation
- Law firm experience
- Trust accounting experience
- Sage 50 experience
- Aderant software experience
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $75,000 – $100,000 annual salary range
- 3 weeks’ vacation
- Group insurance benefits – 75% paid by employer
- Pension match up to 2% after 1 year
