Job #5024 – Our well-established client is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Representative for an 18-month term, with strong potential for permanency. The Senior Accounts Payable Representative will be the subject matter expert and is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and employee expense claims within the AP department. This role serves as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring that inquiries and issues are resolved effectively and in accordance with established service standards. The ideal candidate is professional, well-organized, and a strong communicator. They can manage multiple priorities, pay close attention to detail, and consistently deliver accurate, timely work. They take ownership of their responsibilities and work effectively with others across the organization. Main responsibilities include:
- Oversee the A/P function to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and expense claims
- Resolve complex, high-priority or sensitive issues while ensuring adherence to internal policies and controls
- Act as the main point of contact for vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and provide support
- Review reconciliations and follow up on any outstanding items
- Help improve processes to make workflows more efficient and reduce errors
- Provide training, guidance, and support for team members
- Assist with year-end tasks, including reviewing and validating accruals

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
- Minimum 4+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly accounts payable and accruals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 is considered an asset
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $60,000 – $70,000 annual salary range
