The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing long-term financial strategies while also being accountable for the financial deliverables, health and performance of the organization. The ideal person will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working closely with their team and has the experience and confidence to operate at an executive level. Main responsibilities include:
- Develop an executive strategy for the finance function, including the accounting, finance and audit functions
- Establish profitability standards, departmental controls, financial forecasting, departmental budgets and cost centers
- Develop and implement financial policies, systems, standards and procedures and make recommendations for any needed changes
- Lead the annual financial planning and quarterly review process
- Manage capital asset acquisitions, cash flow and cash management
- Implement internal controls for financial reporting and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare detailed financial reports and report any discrepancies to the CFO
- Hire, train and supervise financial management staff

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- CPA designation
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Experience in SaaS or a start-up environment considered a strong asset
- Fluently bilingual (French/English) considered a strong asset
Compensation:
- $200,000 – $240,000 annual salary range
- Flexible, fully remote work schedule
