Job #4761– Rare and exciting opportunity to join a successful international organization as their Payroll Manager! This well-respected organization continues to be in a growth stage and is in need of a manager to take ownership of their complex payroll process and mentor their payroll team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who is able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. As a key member of the team, you will be the first point of contact for external payroll providers, tax advisors and internal departments to ensure compliance.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in Canadian payroll and preferably experience with U.S. and international payroll. Main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for overseeing Canadian and international payrolls
  • Manage, mentor and provide support for a team of payroll specialists
  • Conduct audit and quality control checks and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee month-end and year-end activities including government remittances
  • Act as a ‘go-to’ resource for internal and external stakeholders on payroll matters and coordinate with counterparts for operational activities related to payroll
  • Ensure the preparation of all payroll related remittances
  • Responsible for accurate and timely filings and other documentation
  • Act as a point of contact for employees on payroll related matters
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications

Mandatory:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent
  • PCP and/or CPM designation preferred
  • 8-10 years of full cycle Canadian payroll experience (U.S. is a bonus!)
  • Advanced Excel skills – Pivot tables, V-Lookups
  • Fluently Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset
  • Supervisory experience

Compensation, Perks & Opportunities:

  • $115,000 – $130,000 annual salary range
