Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Job #5008 – Our client operates across transportation, energy, and other essential industries, supporting community connectivity through dependable transit systems, increasing access to clean energy, and enhancing existing infrastructure through forward-thinking policy and regulatory initiatives. They are currently looking to add a bilingual Accounts Receivable Coordinator to their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.  In this role, you will assist the finance and accounting team by accurately entering and reconciling transactions. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, issuing account statements, and maintaining organized filing and record-keeping systems. The ideal candidate is intelligent, highly organized, and efficient, with a strong work ethic. They are quick learners, proactive, and able to solve problems independently, while also being receptive to feedback and continuously seeking ways to improve. Main responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and send client invoices on time, following contract agreements
  • Work with project teams and accounts payable to process subcontractor invoices and employee expenses
  • Review and resolve billing issues or discrepancies
  • Record, code, and reconcile time and material invoices, and maintain accurate account documents
  • Respond to inquiries, support managers, and maintain strong client and team relationships
  • Keep financial records organized, confidential, and up to date with regulations and company standards

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's or college degree in accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable
  • Exceptional communication skills and fluency in French and English
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
  • Experience in a multicurrency international organization is an asset
