Reporting to the VP Finance, you will lead the finance function, and oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while providing actionable insights to guide business decision-making. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on finance leader with excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for driving operational efficiency. To succeed in this role, you will bring a forward-thinking mindset along with a strong business acumen and the ability to think outside the box. Main responsibilities include:
- Lead all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance
- Maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with leadership to set and track financial targets and KPIs
- Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team
- Support financial planning initiatives and improve systems, processes and reporting

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Completed CPA designation or in progress is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
