Job #4898 – Our well-established communications and media software client is looking for a Director of Finance to join their growing organization. In this role, the Director of Finance will lead all financial aspects of the business unit, partnering with the Senior Leadership Team and CEO/BU Leader. The Director of Finance is accountable for forecasting, financial operations, and regulatory compliance. This hands-on, polished, and personable leader is articulate, able to prioritize effectively, and maintains a cool head in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy, they combine strategic thinking, financial acumen, and a hands-on approach with their team to drive the business forward. Main responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Quarterly Strategic Review forecasting process with precision and accuracy
  • Deliver clear, insightful financial and management reports to guide decision making
  • Identify operational issues and implement improvements
  • Ensure project bids and contracts comply with corporate policies
  • Coordinate all legal activities, internally and with the group legal
  • Submit monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports
  • Oversee order to cash, procure to pay, treasury, financial close and controls
  • Implement process and system enhancements to streamline operations
  • Address internal and external audit queries efficiently
  • Lead and develop the finance team
  • Participate actively in management meetings and BU events

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • CPA designation required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Solid technical knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15
  • Proven ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable creating and delivering presentations on performance

Definite Assets:

  • Experience with NetSuite or Salesforce
  • Experience with multiple entities, countries or currencies
  • Experience in Public Accounting, SaaS or Telecommunications industry

How You Will Be Rewarded:

  • $135,000 – $145,000 salary range
  • Fully remote with core hours
