Job #4771– Our client in the non-profit sector is looking for a Director of Finance to join their management team! In this membership-based organization, you will have solid leadership skills and enjoy mentoring a small accounting team. You will also have strong experience in transactional accounting, month-end processes and reporting and the ability to implement financial policies and processes as needed. Main responsibilities include:
- Oversee, train and provide mentorship to a small accounting team
- Oversee AP, AR and payroll functions
- Review all period-end procedures, reconciliations and create journal entries
- Assist with budgeting & annual planning
- Monitor investments and insurance program financial performance
- Prepare financial statements and financial reporting and related analysis
- Prepare papers for year-end audit and liaise with external auditors during audit functions
- Assist with continuous improvements of financial systems and processes and compliance with applicable policies and regulations

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, business or equivalent
- Completed CPA designation required
- A minimum of 5+ years’ progressive accounting experience
- Supervisory experience
- Strong Excel skills
Definite Assets:
- Sage 300
- Previous NFP experience
- Bilingual (French/English)
What’s the Bottom Line:
- $86,000 – $105,000 annual salary range
- 3 weeks’ vacation, plus 2-week Christmas shutdown
