Job #4931 – Our client, a national leader and well-respected consulting firm, is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to join their management team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance is a critical, senior leadership role responsible for the overall financial health, integrity and operational efficiency of the firm’s accounting, treasury, and credit functions. As Director of Finance, you will be accountable for strategic financial performance and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and finance business partnering skills. A hands-on approach will be imperative as you lead all financial activities and reporting, guide strategic financial decisions and identify opportunities to enhance performance. Main responsibilities include:
- Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, forecasts, and reports for the senior leadership team
- Ensure GAAP compliance and safeguard all financial records
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
- Submit all tax and regulatory filings on time
- Manage full-cycle cash flow to sustain strong working capital
- Improve collections and resolve delinquent accounts
- Oversee controls and accounting for capital expenditures
- Optimize systems for accounting, reporting, planning, and budgeting
- Maintain a strong internal control framework
- Implement enhancements to accounting, billing, and collections systems with IT
- Serve as primary liaison with external accountants, tax advisers, and bankers
- Drive profitability and growth through monthly financial analysis

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation (required, in good standing)
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting software
