Our publicly traded client is hiring a Divisional Controller to join their Ottawa head office on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will help drive financial leadership and take full ownership of all financial management and reporting activities for the division. As a trusted finance business partner, you will be expected to collaborate with both divisional leaders and corporate finance to meet company objectives. Your strategic financial leadership and strong business acumen will help shape critical decisions that will have a long-lasting impact on the growth and direction of the company. You will be required to:
- Lead all divisional accounting, reporting and financial operations in accordance with corporate policies and IFRS
 - Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
 - Enhance internal controls and financial governance to ensure integrity and compliance
 - Manage divisional working capital, including accounts receivable and payable
 - Oversee annual budgets and quarterly forecasts to support divisional goals
 - Provide analysis on variances, KPI’s and business trends to inform strategic decisions
 - Drive margin improvement, cost optimization, and process efficiency initiatives
 - Develop and lead a small team of finance professionals
 - Partner effectively with corporate finance and divisional leadership
 - Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, suppliers, and financial institutions to ensure transparency and consistency

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Active CPA designation in good standing
 - Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role
 - Previous experience in a multi-entity or divisional organization is preferred
 - Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial ERP systems
 - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
 - Proven ability to manage teams and build cross-functional relationships
 
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $100,000 – $115,000 annual salary range
