We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a temporary (3-year term) and a regular full-time Manager, Strategic Financial Management, to join a high-impact finance team. The manager provides end-to-end financial leadership for strategic and capital projects, including business case development, productivity analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business and financial structures, and the ability to translate complex operational and financial data into actionable insights. Success requires excellent written and presentation skills, the ability to quickly grasp complex operations, key cost drivers, and core data systems, and a collaborative, relatable approach. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Financial Management, you will:

  • Translate requirements (equipment, supplies, contracts, structure, staffing) into accurate forecasts to support critical investment decisions
  • Collaborate with senior management to inform and influence strategic planning
  • Support projects and business areas with project management, international benchmarking, budgeting, reporting and forecasting
  • Manage day-to-day financials to ensure compliance and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct process improvement analysis and define financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Prepare reporting and ad hoc analyses, provide financial and administrative support to projects and business areas
  • Identify gaps in financial and process reporting for productivity and efficiency initiatives, leveraging systems to streamline data availability.

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • CPA Designation required (or equivalency)
  • 5+ years progressive experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience in presenting to upper management
  • Strong interpersonal skills

What’s the Bottom Line:

  • $108,500 – $125,000 annual salary range
  • Bonus potential up to 10%
  • Benefits: 6.5% paid out 1st year, then can enroll
  • 8% vacation paid out each pay cycle
  • Hybrid work environment – 2 days a week in the office currently
