Job #4953 – Our well-established real estate development and construction client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. Working closely with senior leadership, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist owns the full cycle of bi-weekly payroll processing and benefits administration across multiple entities within a shared services environment, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, solutions-focused problem solver with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will be required to:

  • Own end-to-end payroll and benefits administration across multiple entities
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert and trusted advisor for payroll, benefits, and time and attendance
  • Ensure all payroll filings, remittances, and year-end reporting are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain data integrity within payroll and HR systems
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, system enhancements, and process optimization
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and support broader HR and cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation strongly preferred
  • 4+ years progressive experience
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems
  • Trusted to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity, consistently delivering accurate, detail-oriented data processing and reporting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex payroll and benefits information clearly

Assets:

  • Prior experience in residential construction or the real estate industry
  • Experience with ADP

Compensation:

  • $75,000 – $85,000 annual salary range
  • Robust benefits package
  • 3 weeks’ vacation + Holiday Shutdown in December
  • Free parking
