The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, demonstrating a strong work ethic and exceptional organizational skills. They will be technically strong and confident in their communication and interpersonal abilities. In this role, you will:
- Review and post vendor invoices and employee expenses
- Assist with credit checks for new customers
- Support weekly cash projections and vendor payment planning
- Maintain monthly reconciliation and tracking reports
- Review and post weekly employee timesheets
- Prepare state sales and use tax returns
- Prepare GST/HST, QST, and provincial sales tax returns
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on payments
- Provide support to the Controller, including margin analysis and adjusting entries
- Provide audit support and assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements
- Offer training/support to junior team members and serve as a back-up to the Accounting Assistant

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
- CPA designation in process considered an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Good understanding of GAAP
- Knowledge of sales tax regulations is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
