Job #5021 – Our client, a leading company in the real estate and construction sector, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the chance to play a key part in financial operations, including monthly and year-end reporting, financial analysis, and management support. Reporting to the Controller, you will ensure accurate and timely financial information, maintain strong internal controls, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. The main responsibilities include:
- Assist with monthly financial adjustments, reporting, and variance analysis
- Support year-end reconciliations and preparation of working papers
- Coordinate statements of adjustment and receipt of closing proceeds for land
- Liaise with Cost Administration to support budgeting and process improvements
- Provide ongoing financial support to the management team
- Report on overhead costs and variances
- Prepare financial models and ROI analyses for future projects
- Support the team during high-volume periods or special projects, as requested by management
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties for smaller entities as required

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting required
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Good understanding of ASPE
- Comfortable working with large ERP systems – tech savvy
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
