Job #4994 – A fantastic opportunity to join a growing software company as a remote Senior Financial Analyst! In this role, you will oversee end-to-end billing operations, accounts receivable, and revenue reporting in a telecom/SaaS environment. You will ensure accurate subscription and usage-based billing, timely collections, and compliant revenue recognition, while providing actionable insights into recurring revenue, customer accounts, and cash flow optimization. The ideal candidate is a competent and critical-thinking professional with strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas. Highly organized and detail-oriented, they maintain accuracy while managing shifting priorities. The ability to work independently when needed while still building collaborative relationships across the organization is essential. Key responsibilities are:
- Manage the full billing lifecycle, including subscription billing, usage-based billing, contract invoicing, and credit adjustments.
- Support revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15, including deferred and unbilled revenue
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and maintain revenue data integrity across systems
- Analyze recurring revenue metrics such as churn, retention, bookings, and revenue by product or customer
- Review contracts and sales orders to ensure proper billing setup and revenue treatment
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, operations, and finance teams to resolve issues and support accurate revenue reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Identify and recommend improvements to billing processes, ERP systems, and reporting to drive efficiency and growth

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Formal Accounting education
- 3+ years progressive experience
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
- Advanced Excel and solid Microsoft Office skills
Assets:
- CPA complete or in progress
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Experience in public accounting
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles
- Experience with NetSuite or Salesforce
Compensation:
- $85,000 – $95,000 annual salary range
