Job #4923 – We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a 3-year temporary, full-time Senior Financial Analyst, Inventory, to join their vibrant team. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in a mission-driven organization. The Senior Financial Analyst, Inventory, requires a broad understanding of financial concepts, principles, and applications, along with the ability to analyze, investigate, prepare, and present complex accounting situations involving input from non-finance business groups clearly and concisely. In addition, you will be responsible for redesigning and implementing more efficient and robust processes while improving the quality of internal and external reporting. Reporting to the Manager, External Financial Reporting, your key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate all inventory cost accounting and financial inventory management
  • Develop and present strategic financial analyses on inventory and costing
  • Manage internal and external inventory reporting and be the first point of contact for external auditors for inventory-related matters
  • Oversee accurate invoices, annual inventory counts and internal controls
  • Improve processes and reporting to enhance efficiency, controls and financial performance
  • Manage day-to-day financial activities, prepare special analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and train staff to strengthen skills and improve team performance
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
  • CPA Designation required (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience with strong analysis experience
  • Experienced in inventory costing and costing concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills, spreadsheets and report-writing tools
  • Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
  • Exceptional communication skills

What’s the Bottom Line:

  • $89,000 – $108,000 annual salary range
  • Bonus potential up to 8%
  • Benefits: 6.5% paid out 1st year, then can enroll
  • 6.5% vacation paid out each pay cycle
  • Hybrid work environment – 2 days a week in the office currently
